In defining brand, it is important to first have a positioning statement, an expression of how a brand stands out amongst its competitors. It is also important to establish brands: Brand Essence and Key Values. A great way to start is by brainstorming simple characteristics and traits to build out the brand as an entity. In doing so, you are able to expand upon these ideas until enough information has been gathered. The positioning statement I created for my brand was, “Young, hardworking digital artist with specialties in page layout and brand design. Constantly searching for innovative and new methods to create, with an eagerness to keep up with modern advancements and take advantage of new and consistently improving technology, allowing for an open minded, creative, and intuitive work process.”.
